Law enforcement officials in the region are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Leana Lang, who has been missing for nearly a month and could have made her way to Virginia, investigators believe.
An alert was issued by members of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit in North Carolina regarding Lang, who may be frequenting Loudoun County after going missing last month, according to the AWARE Foundation.
The call for service concerning Lang came shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, when she was last seen leaving Olympic High School.
Officials say that Lang “wears braids in her hair or sometimes in natural hairstyles.”
She was described as being 5-foot-6 weighing approximately 120 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. It is unclear what she was last wearing when she went missing in February.
Anyone with information regarding Lang or her whereabouts has been instructed to contact 911 immediately.
